Welcome a place you can call home!
I am so glad you stopped by to see what I am up to as of late.
The idea is for me to add items I am working on monthly, I hope to update it weekly or even daily, but we all know that it is not alwasy possible. I am disabled & have bad days here & there but my work needs to get out to the world before I am no longer.
I am a highly educated, eccentric artist who has studied and/or has degrees in: Art, All Sciences, Education, Religion, Fashion, Costume Design, Merchandising, Business, Environmental Sciences, Applied Arts, & Jewelry Making.
My main influence is MY LIFE JOURNEY, Family, RELIGION, & the many causes I am an advocate of.
I find light & beauty in the darkness, and in places most humans are frightened to go into, there are stories there that are kind, loving, & amazing.
No matter how much we try, darkness always seeps in. My question to the universe is why do the Brilliant times not soak and bathe us instead? Through my art I keep asking this question.
Through my Collections you will see that I have a happy, kooky, elegant darkness; one we are comfortable in & can sit with, right on the precipice of destruction or Triumph, the Shadows we see out of the corner of our eye, the Beauty in the Darkness in grandma's attic.
If regarded in another way & seen through other eyes for JUST WHAT IT IS, the Dark & Frightening can become Supreme Beauty.
Lets take cemeteries for instance; they are quite, soft grass, nice shade, amazing handmade old school & new architecture, adorned with stunning flowers, tons of data, & filled with stories.Instead of being scared at the cemetery next time; Think on the wonderful lives lived & sacrifices made, loves had & lost, successes & failures. Take a moment & Thank those folks for giving us everything we now have.
Now let us think on Sugar Skulls. (I am obsessed) Instead of the death of a loved one, humans flip the coin & celebrate the beautiful vibrant lives lived.
I hope I have not scared you away in thinking I am morbid. That is not the case, I just see the bright side of nearly everything life has to offer.
I have been down, dumped on, life spat on me, opressed me, flattened me, and broke me.
But as my father says: "We pick ourselves up, blow it off, and keep surviving". Not in those exact words LOL.
(sometimes after a good scream & cry, gather up the courage & strength, then get back up and get going!)
